Chelsea Manning has been in prison for 1457 days.  
Jeremy Hammond has been in prison for 813 days. 
A secret Grand Jury on WikiLeaks has been active for 1560 days.
WikiLeaks News:

  • Controversey continues over the banning of WikiLeaks, Edward Snowden, and associated journalists from Stockholm Internet Forum 2014. The Swedish Foreign Ministry, which is in change of invites, has refused WikiLeaks’ attendance since the forum began in 2012. Glenn Greenwald commented that the Swedish Government is hostile to recent surveillance revelations due to Swedish secret service FRA’s close ties to the NSA. In a video from SIF, Swedish Ambassador Olof Ehrenkrona responds to a question about the bans, but his vague answers are met with dissatisfaction from audience members.
  • “WikiLeaks” and “Julian Assange” will be in the next edition of the French dictionary “Le Petit Robert”.
  • In part three of National Post’s report on Matt DeHart, a former US soldier seeking asylum in Canada for alleged Anonymous ties, DeHart claims he was tortured by the FBI and questioned over Anonymous and WikiLeaks.

  • Julian Burnside, an Australian barrister who has advised Julian Assange, will be awarded the 2014 Sydney Peace Prize “for his brave and principled advocacy for human rights and for those wronged by government, for insisting that we respect our international legal obligations toward those seeking asylum, and for his unflinching defence of the rule of law as a means to achieve a more peaceful and just society”.
