Julian Assange has been detained without charge for 984 days. 
 - 424 days at the Ecuadorian Embassy.
Bradley Manning has been in prison without sentencing for 1178 days.  
- 35 days into court martial.
Jeremy Hammond has been in prison without sentencing for 530 days. 
A secret Grand Jury on WikiLeaks has been active for 1063 days.

WikiLeaks News:

  • WikiLeaks released three insurance files, sizes 3.6GB, 4.9GB, and 349GB. They have asked supporters to mirror them.
  • NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden put out a short statement in response to his father’s legal team expressing distrust of Glenn Greenwald and WikiLeaks. He commented, “There is no conflict amongst myself and any of the individuals or organizations with whom I have been involved.”

Julian Assange News:

  • One year after granting asylum to Julian Assange, the Ecuadorian Government released a statement confirming their continued support for Mr Assange and their commitment to finding a solution.
  • In an interview with Fairfax, Julian Assange discussed WikiLeaks’ continued assistance to Edward Snowden and other aspects of the NSA whistleblower’s situation.
  • Full video is available of Julian Assange’s live Q&A from yesterday, in which he answered audience questions regarding globalization, renewable energy, GMOs, and many other topics.

Bradley Manning News:

  • Today was the thirty-fifth day of Bradley Manning’s trial. It is currently in the sentencing phase, which may last until the end of August. Transcripts of all hearings are available through the Freedom of the Press Foundation.
    • Closing arguments will be given Monday, and the sentencing verdict is expected on Tuesday on Wednesday.
    • A PDF is available of the judge’s special findings from the verdict. The “aiding the enemy” acquittal was not explained.
  • Journalist Alexa O’Brien wrote on how Bradley Manning’s apology this week is consistent with his moral earnestness.
